It also has naturally occurring Omega-6 and Omega-9 fatty acids, and healthy sterols as well. With a light, delicious flavor and a high smoke point (approximately 450F), sunflower oil is perfect for frying, sauting, baking, or as a dressing. This delicious oil should be in every chef's cupboard.
Supportive but not conclusive scientific evidence suggests that daily consumption of about 1 tablespoons (20 grams) of oils containing high levels of oleic acid, may reduce the risk of coronary heart disease. To achieve this possible benefit, sunflower oil is to replace a similar amount of fats and oils higher in saturated fat and not increase the total number of calories you eat in a day. One serving of this product contains 14 grams of sunflower oil.
