Jarrow Formulas Pantethine is a derivative of pantothenic acid vitamin B5 and a precursor in the formation of coenzyme A CoA , an essential cofactor for lipid, carbohydrate, and protein metabolism. In cells, CoA is essential for fatty acid transport and fatty acid metabolism. Pantethine also helps to support normal healthy lipid metabolism.
